Consultation and Treatment options for a wide array of infections including but not limited to:

Bacteremia (Bloodstream Infections) and Endocarditis

Bacteremia occurs when bacteria enter the bloodstream, potentially leading to severe complications such as sepsis. Endocarditis is a serious infection of the heart valves or lining. Both conditions require prompt medical attention, typically involving intravenous antibiotics and, in severe cases, surgical intervention.

Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO)

FUO refers to prolonged fevers with no clear underlying cause despite extensive medical testing. This may indicate hidden infections, autoimmune disorders, or other systemic diseases. Dr. Nagra and her team conduct thorough evaluations, including laboratory tests, imaging, and specialized diagnostics, to identify and treat the root cause.

Infections in Immunocompromised Patients (Transplant, Chemotherapy, etc.)

Patients with weakened immune systems due to organ transplantation, chemotherapy, or conditions such as leukemia and autoimmune diseases are at a higher risk for severe infections. We offer specialized care, including infection prevention strategies, early detection, and tailored treatment plans to safeguard their health.

Central Nervous System (CNS) Infections

Infections affecting the brain and spinal cord, such as meningitis and encephalitis, can have serious consequences if not treated promptly. Our team specializes in diagnosing and managing bacterial, viral, and fungal CNS infections using advanced diagnostic tools and effective treatments.

Immunizations

Vaccinations are a crucial part of preventing infectious diseases. We offer routine and specialized immunizations for high-risk individuals, including flu shots, pneumonia vaccines, hepatitis vaccines, and pre-travel vaccinations.

Dr. Nagra and her dedicated team are committed to delivering expert, compassionate care for patients facing a wide range of infectious diseases. With a patient-centered approach, advanced diagnostic tools, and cutting-edge treatment options, we strive to provide the highest level of medical excellence. Whether managing chronic infections, preventing disease through immunizations, or offering specialized care for immunocompromised individuals, our goal is to improve health outcomes and enhance quality of life. Trust us to be your partner in health, delivering personalized care tailored to your unique needs.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS)

HIV/AIDS is a chronic viral infection that attacks the immune system, reducing the body's ability to fight off infections. We offer comprehensive care, including early diagnosis, antiretroviral therapy (ART), ongoing monitoring, and preventive strategies to improve quality of life and reduce transmission.

Skin and Soft Tissue Infections

These infections, often caused by bacteria, fungi, or viruses, can affect the skin, underlying tissues, and muscles. Conditions such as cellulitis, abscesses, diabetic foot infections, and necrotizing fasciitis require prompt diagnosis and targeted treatments, including antibiotics, wound care, and sometimes surgical intervention.

Bone and Joint Infections

Infections such as osteomyelitis (bone infection) and septic arthritis (joint infection) can occur due to bacteria entering the bloodstream or following surgery or injury. These conditions often require a combination of antibiotics, imaging studies, and in some cases, surgical drainage or debridement.

Mycobacterial and Fungal Infections

Mycobacterial infections, such as tuberculosis (TB) and nontuberculous mycobacterial infections, can be challenging to diagnose and treat. Fungal infections, including candidiasis, aspergillosis, and cryptococcosis, can be life-threatening in immunocompromised patients. We provide targeted therapies, including antifungal medications and long-term management.

Viral Infections

Beyond common viral illnesses, we treat severe and complex viral infections such as hepatitis, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), and COVID-19. We provide antiviral therapies, immune support, and preventive measures to reduce complications.

Travel Medicine

For individuals traveling internationally, we provide pre-travel consultations, vaccinations, and preventive medications to protect against region-specific diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, and typhoid. We also offer post-travel evaluations for those who develop symptoms after returning home.
